    Thanks for your work adamryan.

I do have a quick question as to which program you used to playback the video... When I used FLV player it just shows 2+ minutes of black with no sounds.

I will look through some more of the posts to learn some more about this particular process...

Whatever info you can forward me is greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,
    Zilla

    Carly,

    1) Here's the video you wanted:

    http://www.filedropper.com/tegansara-moshcam

    2) It's in ".flv" (Flash video) format. If you'd like me to convert it to something more common like ".mp4" (iTunes, Quicktime), or ".wmv" (Windows Media Player), or ".RM" (RealPlayer) just let me know.

    3) The way I did this was by recording the streaming RTMP using a bit protocol recorder. It may sound difficult but it's honestly quite easy. You can use (and I suggest this if you're a n00b) the free program BitRecorder [by Applian] to get the job done. Just google "Bit Recorder Applian", and find their page. It's a free download.
It's a great alternative if you're not too sure how to use the more advanced ones like WireShark.

    4) If you're having problems with BitRecorder not grabbing certain videos for you (be sure to read through the 5 most recent pages, by the way. i've covered a lot of material already.), feel free to email me at: adamryan@live.com

    or MySpace: www.myspace.com/adamryan
    or AIM: adamryanx
    or MSN: adamryan@live.com

    Cheers!

    Hello,

Here is the film I'm trying to download:
    http://www3.nfb.ca/objectifdocument...e&language=english&theme=8&film=46&excerpt=43

However, when I go to page info and click the save as, I cant get the full movie clip. I do end up with an .swf file, however it is only the outline of the player and when I click play nothing happens.

After reading through all the posts, this should work, so I'm not really sure how to go about it. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Thanks adamryan for your help.

I was hoping you could show me how you downloaded the video. I wanted to get a few more videos form the site for my class.

    Thanks,

I've tried every extension and method I can find.

How do I download this video?

    http://www.wctv.tv/video/?clipId=3425777&clipFormat=flv&topVideoCatNo=52958

I tried viewing the Hex code butI've never done it and the code looked to be about a million characters long with stuff I've never seen before.

If you can provide me the link or any advice I'd be truly grateful.

    Thank you!

    Gaze,

Download the zipped folder from the link in the above comment. It contains a clean, free program called Replay Media Catcher. It downloads RTMP, and so it'll "sniff out" any streaming media you're watching and download it automatically for you. I have written out instructions inside for to guide you through everything. =]

If it doesn't work (which it should, it gets nearly everything), let me know and I'll nab it via Hex or RP or one of my many other methods. ;)

    Cheers!

I initially tried to run it but McAfee picked up around 5 Trojan/Viruses in it and deleted it.

I'll give it another shot... It's just a work PC after all.

I really appreciate it and I'll give an update.

    Thanks!

McAfee's program is giving a false-positive then. The zipped folder is CLEAN. I would never spam trojans. That's the exact opposite of what I'm on here for. I'm here to help people, not to screw with their OSs.

What McAfee is detecting is the program's "patch". The folder contains a "patch" (Google it) for the program which contains, if i remember correctly, a serial generator. By it's very nature it essentially is a "trojan" (if i'm understanding this properly), but it is NOT A HARMFUL ONE. I promise.

The reason I have included it in the folder is so that you guys can use the program with full functionality without having to pay for it. Without the patch, the program won't function fully.

Trust me you guys, I'm here to help.

    Cheers,

    -adamryan
