Downloading embedded video: .swf files

Hi everyone,
i have been trying for ages to download an swf file to put in a poerpoint presentation using iWisoft Flash convertor but is unsuccessful, the downloaded file is with no sound and most frames are missing, the url is : http://www3.interscience.wiley.com:...ded_ex/protein_sequence/protein_sequence.html

Can someone help me out as soon as possible, i desperately need that file?!

Ok so I'm trying to get an MP3 file off this website and I want to know if someone can help. I'm halfway through and am not sure if the rest is evern possible. So here's what it is... So the website has a flash player that is streaming the MP3 files. So I looked at the website source code and download the flash SWF file. Then I decompiled the flash file. It turns out that the flash file was playing these songs through an XML playlist. So I found the name of the XML playlist in the actionscript of the flash file and downloaded that too. The XML playlist has two MP3 links for both the songs. This is one of them:

But when I open this link, it takes me to another page with some text and another link, which seems to be encrypted. You can see that for yourself when you try to open the above MP3 link.

So anyone have any ideas on how I can get this MP3 file??? Or if someone could even do it for me, that would be AWESOME! The MP3 file that I want is the withoutyou.mp3

 

provide the link to the song, ...or band/group name...

Is not the original, re-encoded in the download process.

 

oh ok... thing is i already have a re encoded version... i was hoping someone would know how to get the original file off there!

 

@ cyprusrom Thanks for prompt reply. I did what you said and prompt for download came up, but nothing it said download complete very quickly and Okb downloaded. Any suggestions?

 

nevermind i managed to grab it with an rmtp stream ripper

 

Not really sure what browser you used, how is set-up. I just copy/paste the link and I get the full video.

I am using Firefox, but also tried in IE. Couldn't get your original link to work, but it the last link works in Firefox. If I try in IE it just says "page cannot be displayed". Not sure how you got from what I posted to that final link....

Do you have "DownloadHelper" extension installed for FireFox? if not, install it, it will be the easiest, the download will become available easier.

The download should start automatically, even without Downloadhelper.However, download the extension in FireFox, it is ecellent for getting videos.

 

Thanks!! though I still can't get it to work. I do have Download helper, but as soon as it starts downloading it says download complete and the downloaded file says 0kb. I have no idea what is going on, but thanks for you time anyway!

 

Well Carmen, something must be with the way your browser is set-up...Not sure why, but until that gets figured out, here's your video:
