    I've been following this thread for about a month, but I didn't know until today that it was still going. I'm hoping I can get some help. I've tried following many of the explanations given to download this video, however, I'm stuck. The link is:
    http://12monthinternetmillionaire.s3.amazonaws.com/weekly_lessons/week_01/week_01.html

    When I look at the page source I can find the extension:
    player/playershell.swf?rqPresentationID=JxAVFel0CljMe9d&rqStartSlide=

    However, when I download the swf. file from here, it doesn't open. I've tried opening it in a Hex editor, but there doesn't seem to be distinguishable code for me to piece together a download link. I don't know if I'm using the Hex editor correctly.

    Could I get some expert help? Thanks in advance.

    Attention n00bz: READ THE LAST 5 PAGES OF THIS THREAD. THE PAGE SOURCE-HEX EDITOR METHOD DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE.

    You need to use the methods I've shown: Clipta, BitRecorder, Replay Media Catcher, StreamTransport, File2HD.com, etc.
    READ MY POSTS, WATCH MY TUTORIALS, STUDY MY WAYS.

    You have much to learn, young grasshoppers.

    Cheers,

    Hello. I recently made a post about an .swf file that I'm having trouble downloading. I went back and read through the five pages as suggested by Adam. I tried using Clipta, BitRecorder, Replay Media Catcher, StreamTransport, File2HD.com, DownloadHelper, Flash Decompiler, Moyea, and nothing works. At one point I, somehow was able to start downloading file using Real Player, at least I think so, but I was doing so much other stuff in the background that my computer froze and I had to reboot. I haven't been able to get it to start downloading again.

    I try not to be totally clueless and brain-dead when it comes to computers; I've been around them my whole life and I don't claim to be an expert, but I am proficient with them. But this has got me stumped. I've walked through all of the demos and such detailed on this blog, and I don't know if I'm missing something simple, or if this file is just un-retrievable... It's really starting to frustrate me.

    So, I'm sorry if I'm annoying, and you can ban me from the forum if you want. But if you could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    http://www.learningchocolate.com/sites/default/modules/picturegame/picturegame.swf

    Is the main .swf element. However, it uses lots of other smaller elements, mp3 and jpg files to produce the result you are seeing on their website.

    The method I used to access that file is the "Resource Tracking" option of Development Tools in Google's Chrome browser.

    Edit: For educational purposes only, I don't condone you ripping off their site!

    I tried your technique against the following SWF file but could not get it to work. Can you please have a look at this and see if you can figure out how I can get it downloaded and able to run in its entirety? Thanks so much.

    I've been reading throughout this thread, and I cannot figure this out. Im trying to get an swf file off a website. Its a flash game, but I figured its the same as the videos. Heres what I tried so far:

    (1). file2hd works for most of the games Im trying to get.
    (2). source code - gives me zig and jar files in the url:

    <applet code="vNES.class" codebase="http://www.ragdollgames.com/swf/" archive="http://www.ragdollgames.com/swf/vNES.jar" width=512 height=480>

    and/or

    <applet code=NESCafeApplet archive="/emulators/nescafe/nescafe.jar" width=512 height=480>
    <param name=ROMFILE value="/swf/nintendo8_digdug.zig">

    Original url:
    http://www.ragdollgames.com/full-1226-Dig-Dug.html
    http://www.nickolasburns.com/play-22406-Dig_Dug_II.html

    Im letting kids play these games as a reward, but I dont want them to see all of the inappropriate ads on these games when accessed through a website. My methods have been working so far, but Ive come across a few games that I cannot get. Any help is greatly appreciated.
