    Hello - I've been reading through this post and trying everything you've said, but I still can't get this video to download.
    I'm hoping to download several of the videos listed on this page:

    for my students in honor of Autism Awarness Month. I think they would like this one the best however:

    Is there anyway you can help me please?? I would greatly appreciate it!

    hi CiDaemon or anyone else who can help-

    After trying all the methods you mentioned, I still cannot download from the following link:

    clip.swf?d2lv=0&al=0&ap=0&videopath=not_XL.swf&movieid=22&quoteid=1692&mquserid=register&score=5&userName=&avgscore=0&albondigas=ou812mofo187

    from this site: http://www.killerclips.com/

    Finally I was able to download the file, with flash capture, but it never gets past loading, says the file is protected.

    I tried converting the file with SWF toolbox, but the file just says loading, no clip plays.

    any ideas?

    Sorry guys.

    I've been trying the atomfilms.com site and the solution in the beginning; I can get everything, except I can't seem to find the embedded file anywhere? I can find the files for all the ads except the actual file. I was wondering if anyone could walk through the steps of an example site. One that I have been trying is...

    http://www.atomfilms.com/film/pornographic_apathetic.jsp

    Thanks a bunch guys.

    Hi CiDaemon. I can't seem to be able to save any videos from this site:

    http://www.univision.com/content/vi...ABTCFFAKZAABUIWC?cid=1145162&clipid=245554376

    I tried viewing the page source, page info (to view the media types), and using a variety of programs. The closest I can get is a link to a page that begins with vid.univision.com/mms/etc...

    I also know that the videos are not saved in the cache.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Crazy

    Hi. Could someone email or PM me about getting video that's embeded? I see this is an old thread. I have tried looking at the source HTML and found that these videos are kept on a separate server with a built-in player, too. But I cannot find the file itself. I've tried "flashget" that takes .swf files, but it doesn't seem to work- it only gives me the html file! I've tried looking in my cache folder, but they never appear there, either. I may try firefox on my linux machine, which I was told works, but thought I'd post here first. The address of the file ends in .htm - the link directly to the video itself (including its player). Therefore, my computer thinks its an .htm file! Ugh.

    Thanks!

    Hey Guys I need help. I want to play a utube video in a separate page. I don’t want to play it in the utube home page. Is there a syntax or a main format where the video alone can play in a separate page on line? In other words how to extract the video only. Thks. For eg. I need the video from the link below. Thks.

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=BU107w2g0qc

    the 2 embeded links are: /version-check.swf
    and: /player2.swf?video_id=BU107w2g0qc&l=201&t=OEgsToPDskLOVbUFJ62tmLpiv-ZCWW_Y&soff=1&sk=XkVM_iBnSrx7P8ZvsOBqZAC

    What the heck. I will ask and see if the AfterDawn forum gurus can help out.

    I was on TV for a news clip about laptop users and injuries that are developing from improper posture. I would love to have this to then embed to my site:

    http://www.myfoxtwincities.com/myfo...n=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=3.5.1

    The page info in Firefox does not list a clear link to the swf file. There is this:

    <div id="news_movie">
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var adid; if (adid == undefined) adid='';
    var hasRightVersion = DetectFlashVer(requiredMajorVersion, requiredMinorVersion, requiredRevision);
    if( hasRightVersion) {
    var embed = new FlashTag("/myfox/flash/videoPlayer.swf", 336, 295, "8,0,0,0");
    embed.setFlashvars("videoDisplayType=embedded&lcId=" + lcId + "&cookie=" + document.cookie + "&consistentPath=/myfox&servletUrl=/myfox/video_servlet&version=1&locale=EN-US&contentId=3368837&pageId=3.5.1&pos=4&tile=4&ord=5540779703&dartVideo=tsg.kmsp/news/health&adid="+adid);
    embed.setId("videoPlayer");
    embed.write(document);

    1. Go watch the video
    2. Search your Temporary Internet Files Folder for this file:

    wgn_20070503122945427_high.flv

    3. Double Click and save.
