Dreambox 500c in UK are excellent boxes

have my 500c flashed but can only get 2 channels on chorus do i need a cable file to recieve the rest

 

no you need an image file. go to http://www.rdi-dreambox.com and you can download the images there ok.

hey people ive read this thread as im interested in getting a dreambox 500c, but this rdi dreambox site actually only seems to list software for the sat not the cable receiver.

i live in london so weve got former M T hell cable now vrgn i dont know how to work dreambox 500C and ive read that theyre not sold pre-flashed so as you guys know the best images emulators and keys to get my dreambox 500c receiving all the channels i would be grateful if someone could lend a hand please. even a priv message would be good

you seem to know a bit about the500c so:

do you know if the keys have to be manually updated on a regularly basis, if so how the hell do i do it...ive got no idea seriously?

do i have to install new images on a regular basis and if so where can i get them from?

will i really get all the channels with the 500c even if i live in london and not ireland?

these would obviously apply after i bought from your suggested place, and the dreambox needed to be updated as i know theyre prone to need updating pretty regularly

the dreambox updates itself try the digitalworldz 2.0 image it has keys and the cables.xml for bothe ireland and england, once you have flashed the box do your scan and just enjoy the image can be got here

cable then go to the dreambox section then downloads you need to be a member and have 20 posts or make a donation

 

you dont even need the they images as the dreambox auto updates itself.

 

sorry reeso but you do need the image, as the dream box auto updates, it still needs to know what its auto updating?flash it wth dw 2.0 you will be sorted after that, its extrenly simple to use

i have just bought a dreambox 500c for 86 pounds thats including postage
set it up myself and i must say what a good investment. you get all channels if you know what i mean.

 

where did u get it from- send me a message- i want to get one too- how did u manage 2 set it up yourself i heard they are really hard to set up yourself

 

i got it from dreamboxes and phones.look on this page and you will find them.to set it up you need a r232 null modem cable.you will find a programme called dreamup you put that on your desktop when you open it it asks for an image you will find dw 1.6.5 on one of the sites.just load it into it thats it.oh! you connect the cable to your pc and thats all there is to it.
