Dreambox 500T 500C Fixes here

I reset my 500c to factory default and then followed all the procedures; pressed yellow button, then went into the Tuxbox commander - var-key-keylist.txt and after changing the keys, rebooted the box, but it's again back to the same old keys that was there before. I still don't know where I'm getting it wrong... it's getting really frustrating now....

 

Codes don't seem to be working?

 

has anybody got the ch**us cable codes before i go mental please

as i wrote on my post to you on this thread..probably wasn't clear enough.

you need to edit camd_cfg file and look for the AU area and set this to 00. see example.

# AU
# 00 is ignored (default)
# 01 enable AU
# 02 AU Auto
A: { 00 }

this stops the reseting of the keys

 

Hi guys,

I have a dreambox 500C, why all of a sudden does it not auto update the keys, it always has done until now? Is there a permanent fix to this rather than putting new keys in everyday?

oh i get it now, didn't know i had to change the 01 to 00. anyway let me give it a go again and see how what i come up with. thanks guyver_cb.

 

pavsid, these are the new codes (courtesy of gman496)

00 = 1A C4 BB 2D 46 80 53 FB

01 = AB A6 8D DB B2 4D FF C6

 

my codes start with 5a01

 

nope, still nothing... first tried with the nthel key codes and then tried using the c&w codes, still can't watch any of the s*y channels except the freeviews. would be very grateful if someone could tell me where i'm doing it wrong.... i'm using dreambox 500c which has the dw2.0 image on it. the auto transponder picked up the cable 6952 when i put it back to factory default and set it up again, and although i've got nthel connection, the keycode in the keytext seems to have the c&w codes.... so there you go, if anyone could give us a clue as to where i'm doing it wrong coz i'm getting really frustrated with this now.

also tried all the codes on the 500c uk with dw 2 image but still nothing,starting to think it's a lost cause unless i'm doing something wrong, if anyone can change my mind thinking of gettig shut.

N*L are going to make it harder and harder for you by changing the keys so often. You might aswell wait until a proper fix for the 500C/T is available. That could take a week or more.

Thanks placsebo, much appreciated. But why is the DB not auto updating with the correct keys? They always used to - I thought that was the beauty of the Dreambox?
