Dreambox 500T 500C Fixes here

hi all just flashed the euro-vox max blue too with the new image off the toolbar and loader and working great did take around 15 min to update the codes so not superfast but all the autokey rolling is great and 100% working

Here is a screen dump of what I did to fix the DreamBox. Not sure how long it will last like this but it works for now (well until the signal gets changed again). You will need to connect it to your home network to be able to do this and have the IP address from either looking at the box or going to Setup > Expert Setup > Communication Setup:

Make changes to the text file on your harddisk ready to be sent back to the DreamBox. The codes used here are dead now, you'll need some new one's.

Once this is done, reboot the DreamBox by going to the menu, Shutdown > Reboot Now.

If you know how to use Telnet then you can use that too.

 

Hi mate, does this mean if you put a working key in at set AU to 00 then it will continue to work or does it get blown away again the next time they change? Thanks

im having huge issues with this last update, ive been getting the codes for my dreambox, and they have been working fine, but i have the key code from this topic for the latest update 10/4/08 but the just wont work, im editing the keylist through tuxbox command by hitting blue on the remote.

It worked all week now it wont work when i update anymore, can someone help

I am a novice at all this.. all i know is what i need to do to get my DM500c box working.. however, the setting of the AU to 00 simply means when you reset your box, the keys do not change.

You will/may still have issues with keys... i am having to change my keys almost every half to 1 day... the keys we get don't last long...

We need a fix really which i am led to understand, some gurus here are on the case... i can only hope...

The service providers are making it hard to bypass... but why shouldn't they...

either way... my current key doesn't work... so i am in the hands of this forum to let me know if the new keys will be known.

Any one able to help. I've flashed my box with Dreamworldz2.0 and scanned twice, the 2nd time brute force. Got all the channels but the keylist.txt was empty. Manually entered 2 keys (00, 01) Rom 10, 11, although I have no clue as to what the Rom(s) mean/do.

I had copied the keylist.txt from my Enigma image and bascially copied this into the empty keylist.txt and updated the keys from BigMAQ.

I've had no joy. Any suggegstions guys.

THEN CLICK DW Dream 1.6.2 enigma dm5000-c.zip
THIS IS A WINRAR FILE YOU NEED TO OPEN IT AND SAVE IT TO YOUR DESK TOP

NOW USE DREAM UP TO FLASH THE BOX AND SELECT DW Dream 1.6.2 and ypdate the box

once the box has updated do not disconnect it from your pc till about 1min after it says download successful

then run the scan use Bruteforce for uk to scan does not matter what network you are on will scan all

once scanned goto s*y sports1
you will see blank screen
press blue button
choose (2) TuxBox Commander press ok
on left side choose / this symbol press ok
go down to Var about 8 down press ok
screen turns blue
go down to Keys press ok
go down to Keylist.txt AND PRESS 4 (DO NOT PRESS OK )

NOW YOU WILL SEE ALL THE KEYS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE LATEST ROM7 KEY GO BY THE DATE AND TIME (TODAYS DATE/TIME)

i was introduced to bigmaq and the keys are there pretty quickly. always the best place to start looking for the latest one. fingers (and everything else) crossed that the guru's come up with something soon as this is a serious pain in the behind sorting out everyday. although once you have done it once it is pretty quick to do again. i have a keylist file locally on my machine and when the keys change i just ftp the new file over the old one on the db500c and works right away... takes about a minute to fix, but still would rather not have the hassle of doing it.

it may be the image you are using. those instructions didnt work for me either as i am using enigma. you could try what i have posted above along with the bigmaq toolbar for latest codes. also, you could use a "light" tux from the following link to edit the keylist file directly through your db500:

worked a treat for me... now i can ftp the files, or telnet on the box, or directly edit on screen. still all a pain to do and would love it to be automatic again

just to let you know that this file is not 28th march 2008 but from 2007. your process still works but will just take you a while to sort out. best to carry on using whats on there for now though and use bigmaq for the keys until a full fix is published.

I'm using the following from SatlinkSW to update

1.Press the yellow button.
2.Press TuxBox Commander
3.Press Ok on the ' var ' directory
4.Press Ok on the ' keys ' directory
5.Press 4 on the remote when you have
highlighted ' keylist.txt '

There Should be 2 lines there:
Edit the lines:

5401 01 DB7E88CA37E39393
5401 00 8A6B4256D5E3831E


If there more lines there delete the extra lines
Them two line is all thats needed.

6. Press Exit & Save
7. Exit again
and press menu & press shutdown &
reboot now.

Tried the new codes but no luck , I'm in Dublin with N*L

Anyone got the new codes ??
Is the above method for updating the keys still the method to use ?
