hi again guys i have a small prob ,my box is perfect thanks but i fixed my mates the same way also 500c i ave all channels an autoroll he is missing local channels and no autoroll he was always missing channels is there anything we can do????????????

 

Cheers for this guys, I'm assuming that I don't need to put old keys in I can just go straight for todays keys? The first keys on my lists though seem to be ROM10 and ROM11 keys, do I just go straight for the latest ROM7 keys? Normaly it's just the 11th character that needs changing but my latest ROM7 keys are way different

 

hi am all new to this have flashed a new image digitalworldz 2.0 can bring up the tuxbox commander but have no keys to change in it do i have to download anything else if so where from and how

 

I'm assuming you've scanned for channels 1st. I'm not sure what it is, I'm following the perfectly put together step by step idiots guide and I'm getting nothing, I'm wondering if they have blasted the boxes again this morining. I'm just hoping I can get mine up and running at some point today and it stays running for a while this time

download winfar kept going to windows media

 

You need to download a piece of software called "Dreamup" you can get it from the dream Multimedia website. Here is a link with step by step instructions how to flash it:

You'll need to connect your box up to your computer I use a Null Modem Cable, you need to make sure your computer has an RS232 serial port. It's pretty quick and easy. There are other ways but I'm not 100% sure about them.

OK guys since the dreambox doesn't pick up some porn channels automatically I am gonna do a small tutorial on doing it manually using the remote control - using enigma based images.

OK this is for 100% Babes......

Click menu/setup/Service Searching/Manual transponder Scan

Click the yellow button to enter PIDS

Use your remote to enter the following data:

Name 100% Babes

Video PID 02ca
Audio PID 02fa
PCR PID 00af

Tsid 0006
Service ID 0624


Once those details are present press yellow to test values - 100% babes should clear - if it does press blue to save, carry out the exact same procedure for any other missing channels - all info for pids/tsid and service id's can be found in dbox2 services files.

I hope that helps some of you guys who are having problems picking up certain channels.


NOTE: Some channels don't clear until night time - so you are best trying then because in the day time you will probably get a black screen.

OK for some reason I had that method working yesterday but now it's not? hmmm weird, so here's how to do it manually....

Get a text editor such as ULTRAEDIT - that is compatible with linux files.

Ftp to your box and get one of your Bouquet files - dreambox 600 is (etc/enigma)

open it with ultraedit and paste this in:

#SERVICE: 1:0:1:624:6:f020:0:0:0:0:
#DESCRIPTION: 100% Babes
#SERVICE: 1:0:1:62e:16:f020:0:0:0:0:
#DESCRIPTION: Red Hot Amateur

#DESCRIPTION: Red Hot All Girl
#SERVICE: 1:0:1:62d:10:f020:0:0:0:0:
#DESCRIPTION: Red Hot Wives
#SERVICE: 1:0:1:62c:11:f020:0:0:0:0:
#DESCRIPTION: Spice Extreme

That will add the missing porn channels - you will need to refresh the box for the new bouquet to kick in - by pasting this into a web browser-

(change 192.168.1.147 to your own box ip).

Doing it this way will stop your channels automatically deleting themselves.

use oldversion.com to download winrar and choose beta6.0 version, then install it and make sure you click all files and this will work/ if not right click on the file you want to open and choose open with, then choose winrar and tick use this method.command always, ps you can not open a bin file anyway (image file) only dream-up allows you to open this to update your box

This is a quick guide on how to flash the Dreambox with a Gemini image “out of the box”. For this you’ll need the following:

• Dreambox 500c (with cable connection running into the back)
• PC (I used XP Pro) with Ethernet connection
• Crossover cable (not regular patch Ethernet cable)
• Working Gemini image (available from Dreambox downloads section. I suggest for an easy set up, you pick an image with Evocamd already installed and with a bruteforce seach option)
• Flashwizard Pro (available from Dreambox downloads section)
Now, plug in the following:
• Scart lead (or RF lead) between Dreambox and television
• Coax from cable provider into back of Dreambox
• Crossover cable from Dreambox to Ethernet port on your PC
• Null modem cable between Dreambox and PC (optional but advised)
Setting up the Network
On the Dreambox:
1. Once the Dreambox is turned on, set to the desired TV video mode and hit save. (in my case it was PAL)
2. Next, set your timezone and hit save.
3. Hit “exit” on the remote which should bring you to a blank screen with only a blue bar at the bottom saying Enigma on the left-hand side
4. Hit menu on the remote
5. The Enigma menu pops up. Using your remote, navigate to Setup->Expert Setup->Communication Setup
6. Use the following settings:
• Untick DHCP
• Make sure “Enable Network” is ticked
• IP -> 192.168.0.200
• Netmask -> 255.255.255.0
• Type -> LAN
• Nameserver -> 192.168.0.201
• Gateway -> 192.168.0.201
• Port -> 80
7. Hit save
On the PC:
8. Go to the Control Panel and open Network Connections
9. Right click on the LAN connection that is connected to the Dreambox and hit properties
10. Select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” and hit properties

11. Enter the following settings (assuming the IP of the Dreambox was set to 192.168.0.200) :
• IP-> 192.168.0.201
• Subnet -> 255.255.255.0

Flashing the Image
Now that the network is set up properly, we need to flash the image to the Dreambox. The image I used was the “Gemini250 + Evo 1.05 + Bruteforce” uploaded by cyber2k1
12. Run Flashwizard Pro (available from the Dreambox downloads section)
13. From the options on the left side of the window click Configuration and Utilities
14. In the Connecting parameters, put 192.168.0.200 as the Dreambox IP, leave the login and password as root and dreambox
15. Next choose “Install a firmware into FLASH memory” from the options on the left
16. Click the folder icon and locate the image you want to load onto the Dreambox (in my case it was “Gemini250 + Evo 1.05 + bruteforce scan.fwz”)
17. Choose yes when asked if you want to restore the backed up image
18. Flashwizard will now start to flash the Dreambox’s memory. At this point, do not interrupt the program.
19. When flashing is complete, hit OK to reboot the box.
On Dreambox:
20. Now go over and unplug the Dreambox from the mains and leave for 20 seconds before plugging back in (not sure if this step is necessary but this is what I done after reading a post from Liam)
21. Turn the box back on and start it. You will get a message about Evocamd starting (assuming the image you used had Evocamd already installed)
22. Using your remote, navigate to Menu->Setup->Service Searching->Automatic Transponder Scan->Bruteforce Scan (this assumes you have the bruteforce scan option, this was available on the image I used)
23. The scan starts. After a few minutes you will get a message saying “A valid transponder has been found”. Click on start scan
24. The bruteforce scan will now search for all available channels. In my case, this went on for about 30 minutes.
25. When the scan is complete, it gives a list of what services it found. Press ok.
26. That’s it. You should now have all the channels available for your area!

Recording TV from a Dreambox 500C to your Windows XP PC using WinGrabZ

First off you will need to get Wingrab, you can download this from:

Extract the WinGrabZ (Zapit Edition) from the archive and double click on the
.exe file.
At the welcome screen, make sure “Grab Into A Program Stream” radio button
is selected, then click “Next”
At the Dbox Setting screen type the IP address of your Dreambox, and tick
the “AutoZap™” box at the bottom of the window, then click “Next”
Type the path you wish the file to be recorded to in the “Program Stream File”
box, then click “Next”
You can set a timed record off if you wish in the Timed Recording window, by
ticking the “Activate Timer” box and putting in a start and end time.
When you click next the PC will start recording the current channel you are
viewing on your Dreambox.
You can stop the recording at any time by pressing the “Stop” button, and
then clicking “Close” will close the Wingrab session.
Once you have finished recording you will have an .m2p file on your PC which
can be watched on the PC, or streamed to the Dreambox using VLC.

Im looking for a way to update my channels i have about 30 - its not that they are scrambled but simply not there ?

i have done an auto scan ,
I have no probs with FTP if someone can give me a bouquet to do it i have 500c on C****s cable

Satlink f you are there the list you gave us earlier can that be ftp'd or does it have to be put in manually?

 

hi have flashed immage dreamworldz 2.0 through null cable to dreambox 500c still only gettin free channels what do i do next please help when go into tuxbox and keylist there are no keys to change have i done anyting wrong thanks in advance

this gave me some channels

then i manually scanned freqs that i got from a Eurovox that gave me a total of about 80 channels still missing some good ones

I take it that you have changed Rom 7 as given earlier in this thread!

 

have done an automatic transponder scan with bruteforce but still only free channels where do i find rom 7

 

Look back a few pages there are 3 different rom changes but 7 is the only one you need from what ive read simply delete the one thats there now and drop in the new one-

easier said if you dont know how to \ftp

 

but when i go into keylist and press 4 there are no numbers for me to change eg 00 or 01 line

 

dm500c, press the blue button and restart the emu then try again and they'll be there

 

hows it going Ive managed to ftp a nokia dbox2 before but no matter what i do I can't connect with my dreambox 500c. Ive tried loads of guides and no luck. today i tried using dreambox control center and it says dreambox has no ip address, i messed around trying to get it to work and now I get a msg saying "error 10057 in function send socket is not connected"
any help would be great, thanks
