Got to menu on your pc Find command promt in accesories
type in 'ipconfig'
this will give you your Pc address this goes into the bottom 2 boxes in your connection setup on the box then add 1 to the last number and put that into the first box marked IP: uncheck DHCP and save
open your web browser and put in the number (the plus 1 number) again eg.192.192.1.24 press go and then you will find the box

when you have this done goto your FTp i used filezilla use the IP again
name = 'root'
Pword = 'dreambox'

 

Hi, can anyone sort me out with a working image i can just flash onto my box and everthing will be working?
I have flashed digital worldz dream 1.6.2 via a null cable but cant connect via a ethernet cable on DCC to install nagarom7.rar as recommended on this site.
I allways get a message saying "error 10057 in function send socket is not connected" which is doing my head in.
I have my computer, 360 and dreambox all conected to a router and only the dreambox is not getting detected.
is it possible if no one will email me a working image to simply enter the latest key to get it working for tonight as i dont want to miss the calzaghe fight!

 

replace the nagrarom 7 file mate...

then reebot. The cam should start itself then heypresto...

 

Id rather pay to have mine fixed i tried to flash it but somehow mucked it all up. Dont suppose this person that repaired yours in in the kent area by any chance if so could you pm me the details

sorted the communication setup and managed to get DCC to connect to my router but still get the "error 10057 in function send socket is not connected" when trying to connectd to my dreambox.
How do i connect the above socket?

 

dont pay for anyone to update/flash/fix your dreamboxes as its not worth it at the moment as we are in for a few tricks and treats off v*rg*n yet, otherwise you be paying out and out over the next few weeks, just manually update your keys everyday check from pages 14 onwards how to do this, once you have done it once its easy as riding a bike

using the remote, so pls, do not tel me 2 dl anything, i am using the remote, how do i get to the codes part pls ????

my head is spinning, pls dont b 2 technical, i would appreciate if sum,1 could spell out wot 2 do, like the emu ? wots that ??

hey guys im in the kildare area using 500c and on ch**us and still missing a few channels just wondering is there any way of manually scan in channels such as celtic tv etc as i cant get them when i do a auto scan.
or is there a frequency list for all the missing channels?

to change the codes via the remote you need to press the yellow button
then scroll down to tuxbox comander and ok
scroll down to var and ok
then scroll down to keys and press ok
then on keylist press 4, this allows you to edit the codes,

maybe i am missing sumthing, i am not connected 2 my pc, as i said, i only hav remote, can u update ur box only using a remote ?

my box is not connected to my pc !

to update your box without connecting it to your pc first you need to install the BigMAQ toolbar as this has everything you need, latest keys etc etc
then once you have done this follow these instructions

press blue button or yellow button depends what image you have on your dreambox, then a menu will pop up
choose (2) TuxBox Commander press ok
on left side choose / this symbol press ok
go down to Var about 8 down press ok
screen turns blue
go down to Keys press ok
go down to Keylist.txt AND PRESS 4 (DO NOT PRESS OK )

NOW YOU WILL SEE ALL THE KEYS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE LATEST ROM7 KEY GO BY THE DATE AND TIME (TODAYS DATE/TIME)
IT WILL LOOK LIKE THIS N 5C01 01 THEN NUMBERS AND LETTERS
YOU NOW NEED TO LOOK BACK ON YOUR TOOLBAR UNDER LATEST KEYS AND CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER THE KEY YOU WILL BE CHANGING BEGINS WITH 01

PRESS OK TO HIGHLIGHT THE KEY UP AND CHANGE IT TO THE NEW KEY (ONLY ONE NUMBER NEEDS CHANGING ON CW)
PRESS OK TO STORE
NOW PRESS EXIT
USE LEFT ARROW TO STORE PRESS OK (DO NOT USE RED KEY TO STORE)
PRESS EXIT YOU WILL NOW BE ON THE HALF BLUE/BLACK PAGE WERE Keylist.txt is
PRESS EXIT USE ARROW TO MOVE LEFT TO STORE PRESS OK
NOW ON THE LITTLE MENU SCREEN CHOOSE (1) DW Dream Menu
PRESS GREEN
PRESS OK TO RESTART EVOCAMD
PRESS DOWN AND OK TO START MGCAMD
PRESS EXIT TWICE
NOW PRESS MENU
CHOOSE (5) SHUTDOWN AND PRESS OK
CHOOSE REBOOT NOW PRESS OK
WILL TURN OFF AND SHUT DOWN

when you do this the next time you press blue or yellow and choose TuxBox Commmand you will be into the keylist.text file you only need to press 4 on your remote to access the screen to alter the keys again and press ok on the line you need to alter

all this is on other pages please read other post's and see how others have sorted the same problems too

i made a bad flash to my box and now get nothing, just a blank screen on the tv.
tried to connect to pc to re-flash another image.

filezilla asks for ip address of box but i have no idea what it is since i flashed a corrupt image i cannot open the memnu to find it.

tried an i.f.a. but it only works on nokia boxes or something.

tried ipconfig/all but no i.p. address is coming up other than my own network adaptor.

is there some way i can scan for ip addresses of connected to network.

does the dreambox have a standard ip address it reverts to after a bad flash.....

any other suggestion??

I have managed to flash the DW2.0 image on my dreambox 500c but when I get to the keys after the tuxbox command to edit the old keys it is blank !!!! any ideas as I am new to this.. I have N&l Ireland..

MarkarMan the IP address for your box should be 192.168.1.2

Can anyone point me in the direction of how to install the Nagraroms, I'll be using a cross over cable, on filezilla and I have DW image V2.0. i.e. I know I'm not reflashing etc,but I'm wondering if it is fine to just cut and past the Nagrarom files into the folder which already contains a NAgrarom 7 file??

go on itv1 or bbc1 and reboot your box then when it comes back on the keylist.text file should get the latest keys if not you will have to wait till tomorrow when the keys will change again before midday usually

I had the same problem with a DM500s box.
I used "Dream Up" (part of the collection of programs supplied with DCC) and using the null modem cable I managed to get an ip address this way.
If you don`t have the program let me know I cam send it to you.
