    @Wolfkid7

    The Hypercam fix is only for Enigma1 boxes - the DM800 is Engima2.

    I'll PM you the details when I get a moment. I've just been through this with my DM7250 which is the same system, just not HD.

    Hi folks,

    I have a Dream DM500-C which a friend of mine has previously tried to flash, but clicked Yes on the flash erase prompt. I have the box hooked up to my laptop and ready to go again. Do I now need to restore a file that has been erased? (If so, could someone give me an idea where to find said file?) Or if I just flash it again and click no, will it work?

    I don't have a remote with me so I can't check it until I give it back. It'd just save me the hassle of maybe having to do it again if someone here could shed some light on this.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi folks,
    Trying to get my DM800 working with NTL cable in Dublin.
    Am using an Enigma2 image & downloaded MGCAMD 1.30 off the web using the DM800 itself. Am trying the N2_Ireland_dream7x_8x_fix.zip as described by Sc0user ealier in this thread.

    I rename mgcamd.mips (contained in N2_Ireland_dream7x_8x_fix.zip) to the exact name of your installed mgcamd file in usr/bin. FTPed the renamed file across to replace the MGCAMD 1.30d version.
    I set the attributes to 755.
    I FTPed softcam.key, autoroll.key and priority list files to usr/keys & rebooted & set the cam to MGCAM 1.30d. Still cannot watch anything except the basic FTA channels.

    Noticed that if I start the MGCAMD 1.30d using the blue button I get a message saying it's started correctly & it does appear as the active
    CAM. But if I start with TUXBOX, I see some messages, sumarised below ;

    MGCAM is version 1.24 & compiled June 2007
    It detects my box as a DBox 2 (It's a DM800)

    /dev/dvb/adaptor0/CA1 error 16: device or resource busy
    Conax.key error 2:no such file or directory
    keys readed
    Conax.key error 2:no such file or directory

    Wondering if this is the right fix file for a DM800.
    It seems to think its a DBox2 ?? And it's also looking for files that
    are not there, but yet the MGCAM does appear to load, but still cannot view the scrambled channels.
    I also tried to use the MGCAMD 1.30d version of the CAM with the
    softcam.key, autoroll.key and priority list files from the fix but still no channels & get other error messages when starting with TUXBOX.

    Am I right to be using the N2_Ireland_dream7x_8x_fix.zip fix ??
    Do I need a specific image type for it to work ??

    Any help would be appreciated :)

    Hi Superreds,
    Sometimes freezing can occur if there is a weak signal. Has the signal
    been split or weakened in some way. As for overheating... does the box feel very warm ?? If the freezing problem goes by unplugging the box & immediately plugging it back in again, without it having too much of a chance to cool down, it unlikely to be an overheating problem.

    @Wolfkid7

    mgcamd doesn't work on MIPS boxes- you needto use rgcamd

    Hi mhill7895
    Good news !!
    I'm up & running. Thanks a million for your patience !!
    First thing I'm gonna do is backup this working image :) LoL

    Folks, if you have a DM800 & cable in Dublin, with U*C.
    Follow mhill7895's steps above.
    I also dropped the supplied files in scce into /var/scce. Had read in a previous thread that they were required also.

    Thanks again for the help !!
