Dreambox Ireland N2 Fix. Its Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still nothing on the dbox, I don't know whats stopping channels coming in.

 

Just a big thank you to whoever discovered this. i used the ftp method and all back now. thanks guys

NTHell Dublin was not recognised on my scan either so i tried bruetforce ireland which got a lot of channels but not them all. I done a manual scan with the frequency at 150mhz (remember to tick the box at the top) this got a few more channels but still not them all so i reverted to old faithful and did a bruteforce uk scan and this got all the channels back that i had before.

I can't really remember what files should be there
but this is what you should

(3) go to var/bin
(4) go to last file Hypercam1.06

then click on the ok button on your remote and it should load up a blue screen sayings logs disabled etc..
click ext, then exit again and yes to save the changes

Thanks for that.. I'll try and bruteforce uk scan again and see how I get on.. didn't seem to help when I tried last night.. but if you are saying you got them back then at least I have something that I know that works.. Thanks for the reply...

 

Whats your location?
if you're using the dk image you should scan down the automatic scanning list and down near the bottom there is "ntl ireland bruteforce" it should be on freq 6887 I think it is.
that could be the reason you're not getting all the channels..

 

If you are using dk1.1 try scan it with Dublin Ireland- Ntl that one will get all the channels. Its in alphabetical order

 

ok iv read threw and i wondering is this fix opening up all channels effected by n3??? and if so i have "the box" with no cable to connect to pc so if i manage to get one can i get all my channels back by just uploading a program to it? thanks

 

thanks again for the reply, but went to tuxbox,on the left side i went to var,press ok then to bin,press ok ,now the last showing file is evocamd212, if i execute this a small red line appears and nothing then happens, if i press ok on it ,i get a blue screen and only at the very top of the screen, "/var/bin/evocamd212",.

im not seeing anything resembling hyercam1.06
i think iv messed up somewhere !!!!!!

 

Hi Lenny thanks for all your time and help I managed to load the image to the dreambox but I cant seem to find the hypercam 106 in var/bin
When I go in the last file is evocam 212 any idea why this is am I doing somthing wrong

 

Well now, which image are you using?
are you using a fresh one downloaded from emo's libary, or my one?
because it sounds to me that you're just using a fresh image and have not ftp'd the new files over to the(corect) folder?

Cheers that worked. But I no notice 291 is not working either! this has DAVE amongst others. I did a scan wiht INV ticked and unticked and no luck. WIll try that UK BF scan later.

same story here.

uk bruteforce scan soon brought it back in though

i actually scanned ntl first then man freq 150 and although this was bringing some channels back i got lazy and just did uk bf scan

hope that helps you in some way

 

you may have ftp'd the files into the wrong folder.... i did this at first
i simply went back and ftp'd them over again making sure i put them into the bin folder which is in the var folder. then remember to change the attributes to 755

also it was the right hand list that i opened to find the 3 files then highlite the hyperlink_1.06 and press ok on the remote. this opens the hyperlink file and you see writing on a blue screen then i pressed red to execute the file then i exited out saving settings

after this you do need a little patience when your waiting for the keys to roll. about 30 seconds or so

I taut the flash erase deleted the old image on it..
no probs dude

 

What part of dublin are you in if you read through the forums it will explain how to do it do you have a null modem cable and Ill go through the steps with you

I have read thru the whole thread and am seriously bewildered by all of us this, I mean do i connect it to my Laptop and tv and then use the Box itself to load Image, plus when i right clicked there is no option to change anything to 755 etc

Can someone please PM the details in details please
