    Here are the Device IDs
    SCSI\CdRomTSSTcorpDVD+-RW_TS-H653AD400
    SCSI\CdRomTSSTcorpDVD+-RW_TS-H653A
    SCSI\CdRomTSSTcorp
    SCSI\TSSTcorpDVD+-RW_TS-H653AD
    TSSTcorpDVD+-RW_TS-H653AD
    GenCdRom

I have a Vista computer and the drive was once working but now device manager shows that it has a corrupted driver, tried installing a new one and didn't seem to help, tried uninstalling, nothng happened, at least that was productive.

    Any suggestions?

Assuming that the drive is on an IDE controller, did you try uninstalling the controller?
