DRU500AX first 1xmedia at 2x burning now at 1x

    Hi,
    With the firmaware of my DRU500AX (2.0C) i could burn my DVD-R discs at 2X but after the upgrade to 2.0F i Just can burn at 1X.
    Whats the problem? Or where can i downgrade the firmware to 2.0C again.

    does anyone have the files for the firmware 2.0C. or the URL where i can find them?

    You'll probably have to use better media.

    I had the very same problem using That's Write 1x certified media. I was able to burn at 2x speed, after FW upgrade to 2.0f only 1x.
    I am considering switching back to 2.0e, which was previously available on Sony site.

    I did downgrae to 2.0e but that's make no difference. i still can't burn at 2 speed.

    I have contacted the sony helpdesk and they are looking for a solution to burn at 2 speed.
