I have a dlink 624 and it works ok, I only have mario kart to test with and getting a game is kinda spotty, but from everything I have read it has more to do with the game then the router as far as using the internet wireless service for the game.
As long as it is an 802.11b router it should work, and 802.11g is backwards compatible with 802.11b so it should work on that too. A 802.11a router will NOT work however, they use a different frequency (5ghz). A/G uses 2.4ghz.
thats true but I had read somewhere that different routers will get you different performance results
