    Hey everybody,

I bought a HP Pavilion dv2533TX Notebook PC, it has Windows Vista & after using it, it really sucks. So I installed XP by creating a partition of 10gb, and i had to modify my XP CD by adding sata drivers using nLite 1.4. After installing xp i used VistaBootPRO 3.3 to add a os entry for windows xp and installed the vista bootloader.

But when i restarted vista loads up correctly but xp has an error:

Any ideas why? Did i do anything wrong?

    Thanks

This sounds like a windows xp boot.ini file problem.

Your problem is easily fixable with just a few editing. I wouldn't do any repair installations or fixmbr type commands, that will make things worst. As long as you can boot vista your not in a bad situation

    Thanks jony218,

It works all i did was use this guide http://www.pro-networks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=92429&start=0:

    1. Open My Computer
    2. Click on "Organize" and then click on "Folder and Search Options"
    3. Then click on the "View" tab
    4. In the list under "Advanced Settings" you need to find "Hide protected operating system files" and uncheck it and then click "Ok"
    5. Once back into My Computer open your XP (or Vista) drive and you will now see more "protected" files
    6. Select the three files in question and right click and then select "Copy"
    7. Go back and open your Vista (or XP) drive and right click and then select paste

    VistaBootPRO v3.3 Method:
    8. Open VistaBootPRO and go to the "System Bootloader" screen
    9. Select "Windows Vista Bootloader"
    10. Select "All Drives"
    11. Select Force Install and then click on "Install Bootloader"

    12. Once done exit VistaBootPRO and reboot your system
