Dual Booting

I've read on different threads concerning starting the console from the power on button (smaller button) will boot the exploit dash and powering from the eject button will boot the M$ dash. I can't do this. I used the Ndure exploit using Mech Assault and evolutionx dash as the primary. Is the ability to boot differently an option with some other dashboard, or do I need to enable it in some way? Thanks in advance.
