    thanx on the desktop pix

i didn't understand your first question with the corsair.
    I have 2 x 512 MB Corsair ValueSelect which is in Slot 1 + 2
    I have 2 X 1GB G.Skill which is in Slot 3 + 4

So I go into Bios and download everything in there? Just double checking...

i updated the 1.1e. I'm not sure whether i did it right though. I restarted and my KN1 picture that display changed so that might mean it worked. Do I have to do the same thing with the flash utility? It seems like the same program. Not sure what to do...help~!

And what is CMOS? There is an option to clear it and also to set it to default.

Should I update everything; the Boot Main and DMI?

    *L*

Bascily you updated the mobo, the bios control's the mobo and thus tells windose what is what,by updating it and letting windose find the "new" hardware you have updated you computer to hopefully full power, and yes go ahead and update your drivers.

one of my 512mb sticks RAM stopped working. :( Is it better to keep just 2X1GB + the one 512 mb ram or just 2X1GB ram???

Does it make a huge difference???

how did you tell the bad ram from the good, memtest can check your ramm, best do it one stick at a time.

2X1GB is 2GB total, over 1GB you don't see a lot of improvement under 1GB things are slow to laod and this is if you are running media, games and a anti virus program..sheesh my AV program drains rescrouces a bit.

Sorry for the delay in replying gmail stuck it in spam.

Two sticks = dual channel. Three sticks = issues. Remove the other 512MB stick.
