People don't give away brand new kit like that... Not with a resale value in that range. You also don't buy a scsi drive "by mistake" They always have to be ordered in, and any shop will accept them for exchange/refund if unused.
I had no trouble at all selling a heap of older and well used ones late last year..
I believe there is some serious posting of BS happening to pad up the post count and get attention..

    *added to my ignore list*

hmm, very well could be. or maybe the drive fell off the back of a truck and the one kid is afraid of being caught with hot goods.

Well, I'm glad you said it, not me! I was going to say he should ask his friend to look out for IDE drives in future...

It's surprising how often people are "given" or "find" cell phones as well, isn't it?

i would like to put a small explosive in cell phones. a code would be set by the original purchaser, and every time you remove the battery and/or sim card, you enter it. otherwise, if you turn the phone on and the code isn't entered within 1 minute, it goes boom!

I am proud to say I have never owned a cell phone, and never will, if I can help it. I hate the damn things.

i have one, simply because it's an awesome convenience. but i do prefer talking in person.

the cb radio in my car is a lot more fun than the cell phone.
