ok so i have 2 sony dvd+R drives and i am contemplating buying a new Dual Layer Sony DVD drive. my question is say i want to make a back up of a dual layer disk can i use one of my 2 regular dvd drives to read the disc and the dual layer to burn or do i need to buy 2 dual layer drives inorder to read and burn. i have used apache2 and various other programs in extracting both layers so i know that my regular dvd+r drives can read it. didn't know how it would work with disc to disc direct burning.

Either of the other two drives will read the DL disc just fine, if they aren't real old drives.
