is there any freeware or shareware for DVD burning, alternative to the payed apps like Toast, Nero & Popcorn? basically i don't want to spend any dosh $$.
have you guys used Dragon Burn by Softpedia for Mac?

does anyone know if DVD imager supports Dual Layer? or if Dual Layer needs software support at all?

i am a bit of a newbie to disk utility stuff, so does creating a "disk image" mean that the DVD still plays like a DVD? it is not a data file or anything?

i am just looking for a simple burner. I am trying to burn a VIDEO_TS file, that i got form Mac The Ripper. I don't need to "shrink" or compress the file.

i have searched through the forums, but haven't found any direct or answers sure enough to maybe waste a DVD+R DL disc on experimenting with what i don't know.

    Thanks for any help :D
    grrrrr

yes you should be able to pull that off with the dvdimager.. then use the DL discs. the only issue is that i'm not sure how well it will work.. in theory it sounds good.. i'm not sure if they have DVDR/W DL. since they are more expensive thats why i'm suggesting some re-writeables.
    post your findings

and you're just dropping the video ts folder right on the app. icon?
it works fine for me. i dont think it really makes a difference how big the file is.

strange... i'll have to check how i do it...

    edit:
i'm sorry.. apparently it does need to be already compressed down to regular dvd size..
    check this thead out...
