I am new to this and wanted to know does anyone on here know if chorus mmds in enfield is either a DVB-C tuner or a DVB-T tuner. Or is there anyone on here using a dreambox in the enfield area? ANY HELP WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE
I think mmds has to be dvb-t as I know starview etc are dvb-c and they dont work on mds. but there is a new software for .'the box' which is supposed to work in all cho**s areas including mmds !
I was thinking of going for a dm500t or the newer model dm600. i know it says that the dm600 is plug and play. If i was to purchase one of these does it come with a t-tuner (terrestrial) in the box? What is this about the starview? the box? is the software readily available to enable this to be used with chours mmds. Also would anyone know of where i could lay my hands on a dm500t clone? thanks in advance.
brophylad mate I only know about starviews and apparently 'the box' has new software outnow ( v4.50) which is supposed to work on both chor** true cable and mmds.. havnt heard from anybody from mmds land though.. as for the dm's havnt a clue mate sorry
Starview 2, the box or whatever the name is has a dvb-c tuner. The software cannot change the tuner. The are rumors about a new starview box with a dvb-t tuner. The DM600 box has a pluggable tuner and if you want dvb-t you simple plugin such a tuner if you previously bought one.
The 500T will do the trick. but few and far between and hard to find. One on ebay at the moment, but it's a clone! dough......!!! Emailed the owner but he assures me it's an origional... stopped getting a reply when i asked him why it has a remote belonging to one of the clones... go figure.. the 600pvt with the Dvb-t tuner card will do the trick.. loadsa inages around you can use. the 7025 works too, but i'm having problems getting the two tuners to work at once. (one S one T) obvioulsy you'll have the para ant and the lnb and power inserter too. regards mmdsinfo

I know the s/w will not change the tuner, also the starview box with the dvb-t tuner is 'the box' ill look into the DN600 boxes, the plugable dvb-t tuner sounds handy but what is the goin price for those !
The starview 2 with dvb-c tuner is offered under the name the box. The new starview box with dvb-t tuner nobody ever saw it till yet.
yes m8 but they only upgraded the software for 'the box' to get dvb-t. but you have to buy said box cause they wont release the s/w for original sv boxes..obviously for a buisiness point of view
hey guys, is this really so? I though it C and the T tunners used different parts of the radio spectrum? like trying to get you car stero to tune into the a ham radio station,, won't really happen unless the car radio was designed to do that in the first place or can be modded to do it?? but hell i'll get one to play with if one comes out.
as i said mmdsinfo. 'they ' said it would work on mmds ( which has to be dvb-t, right ?) so I can only take their word for it....
The software for dreamboxes also support all tuners. You have to own a box with the right tuner. It makes no sense to tell the starview 2 owners the software would support dvb-t if the box would have a dvb-t tuner or if such a starview box would be on the market.
were is the best place to buy a dm500t either clone or original? or if there is no dm500t out there what about the 600 where is the best place with a t (terrestrial tunner>?)
