   ok i am a newbie and am happy to have just ripped my 1st dvd. anyway i know what dvd-5 and dvd-9 are and stuff but my question is how do you tell if the dvd is a 5 or a 9 or anything else.

   If its over 4,707, something bytes its dual layer or dvd9. dvd decryptor will tell you how many layers the disk has when you open the program
