having trouble copying a 8 gig dvd disk I was wondering how you go about doing that (not using dvd shrink). The programs I have are nero, alcohol 1dvd2one.

As you prefer DVD2one as your preferred transcoding software you have 2 choices :-

    a) back the movie up to 1 disk. If this is your desire I would personally do a "movie only" backup, selecting only the main audio track & the main subtitle track. Then use the "Constant" settings in DVD2one to transcode.

    b) Split the movie to 2 disks. It is easy to select the desired chapters in DVD2ne prior to transcoding, or in this case no transcoding.

Personally I would not use DVD2one. I would download the new DVD shrink v3.2. It is FREE and, in my opinion, vastly superior to DVD2one as a transcoder.

You might try to "Google" for them -

I read your post and you say you're using 1DVD2One. I've looked all over and cannot find any proggy like that anywhere. Brian guessed that you were using DVD2One but if that's so AND you don't wish to use DVD Shrink, could I ask how you're going about ripping your DVD ?

Have you checked your firmware ?

As for your problem with DVD Shrink, have you ever set your burn speed at 2.4X instead of 4X ? The majority of my backups are done at 4X but every once in a while I have to drop to 2.4X.

I noticed you haven't mentioned what media you're using - Crappy media can cause problems with Nero and DVD Shrink. You might wish to try RiData, Sony, Ritek G04's or Verbatim "DataLife". They are high quality and suceed where many others fail.

    Good luck -

    Cheers,

Try "google"?? How about try reading the forum rules. That is the second time you've posted that question.

    Read the forum rules:
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487

and here's a couple of rules to look at:
[bold]5. -> PIRACY AND LINKING TO PIRATED MATERIAL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE FROZEN IF YOU DO THIS <-
    and
