I just bought a new Plextor 8x External DVD Burner. I love it. It's quiet and hardly has any problems. Now that I have my hands on a DVD burner, and don't feel like reading through all the forums for answers, can anybody tell me how I can burn, or "backup", my American DVD's? The DVD's properties tell me that they're about 8-11 gigs. The DVD (+ -) R's can only hold 4.7 gigs. When I try to copy with Easy CD Creator, it tells me there's not sufficient space. What other programs could I use to solve this problem? And lastly, is there a way I can burn the DVD movies so that "ALL" DVD players will be able to play them? My old DVD player doesn't seem to read the DVD-R discs...hmmm Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
