I have been having this problem with my DVD burner for some time now ... i have a HP DVD RW 400c it burns at 4x max the problem is that it doesnt seem to burn my dvd's it can read dvd's but it wont burn them i thought that it was just the burning feature that was bad but it seems to read and write cd-r's when ever i try burning a dvd it will alway give me a error message whith-in the program i am using i have tried using many burning programs such as nero and alcohol 120% all seem to fail i use to be able to burn them and then one day durring the middle of a burn it stoped it burns the dvds a little because when i flip over the cd i can see there is some info on it but it doesnt seem to ever finish them any help would be great thank you in advance _X_X_X_X_X_[small]This is Ron Blaze signing off[/small]
Are you using DVD-R ? or DVD+R ? HP burners of that series are usually restricted to burning on DVD-R ONLY.
i was able to burn several dvd+R's on it before it just recently started not being able to burn dvd cd's
