    HI

I am attempting to backup my copy of Kill Bill Volume 1 and my DVD drive will not even recognise it as a disk. It shows up as though nothing is in the drive, so DVD Shrink and Decryptor do not pick it up either.

It plays in my set top box OK and all other DVDs have worked in my PC DVD Drive.

Any Ideas or persons who have experienced this problem also?

    THANKS

Your drive maybe bad, try and see if it will read cd's ok, try and see if it will read other dvd's ok.....

Failing that, uninstall the device in device manager, reboot and let windows reinstall it - see if that helps........

    I Like the skipping sheep.

It does play other DVD's without a problem. Kill bill is the first 1 it has not recognised.

    THANKS

I have uninstalled the device and let window reinstall it. I also updated the firmware from the manufacturers website. Checked the brand of DVD of one which worked and one which did not. They are both done by regency recordings.

Does anyone know of a particular problem with kill bill 1. Van Helsing and other new titles all are recognised without a hitch.

MY Drive is a Sony DRU700A dual layer.

    THANKS

Skip 2, 3 ,4 - Baabaa is knocking at your door.
Jump 5, 6 and 7 Afterdawn is dvd heaven.

Sorry got a little carried away..........

I have Kill Bill and it loads up and reads fine (original) and I think you may find other members will say thge same thing.

The disc is definately free of dirt and fingerprints, especially round the inner ring?

Hmmm, the reader may not like the actual disc, can you get hold of another copy to prove/disprove this?

If I come across anything else that may help you I shall post
