Hi, I am interested in buying a dvd this month and I was wondering what is the best dvd burner out for a good price...I want to be able to back up DVD's and also back up my Playstation 2 games. I usually shop at NEWEGG.com because they have good prices...If anyone is interested...Thank you.

I recommend the Pioneer 105 or 106 - very reliable and good quality and compatibility. The 106 supports + and - media whereas the 105 supports -R/RW burning only.

Get the Optorite writers as it supports duel formats +/-R. A good drive at a good price!

I have three DVD writers on my PC's which include a sony DRU510A, Pioneer DVR-A06 and the Optorite DD0203. Out of these three, I prefer the Optorite but it is up to you. :D

    Good luck
