At 11:32:07 it says Operation Successfully Completed but the operation was not successfully completed due to the 11:31:57 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (0/2) - Program Memory Area Update Failure

Ok looks like those Prodisc are still causing problems.
Your firmware is up to date but your drive isn't looking like it likes them.
    Write Speed: 16x
Take this down to 8x or lower for this discs.

The power calibration error you also get - one of the causes for that is media.
The 2nd failure in the log is the verifying of the disc - that due to the errors in writing to it.

Try the lower speed and see how that works out. I would still try the better brands like Verbatim or made in Japan only Fuji, Sony or Maxell.
I would also run a lens cleaner thru the drive too.

    Keep us posted.

Ok the Program Memory Area Update Failure is a part of the disc where info is written to say what's on the disc.
    The Prodisc are failing there.

Now the Maxells are failing almost at the beginning w/ a power calibration error.

I'm leaning more to something is up with the drive or the connections.
First try another power connector and see how that goes.

Next I would swap the Liteon with the DVD Rom - I won't conenct the dvd-rom just yet - just set the Liteon as slave on the secondary cable - switch the jumper pin on the back of the drive from master to slave.

See how that goes and keep us posted.

    edit: spelling

What do you meant try another power connector? What is a power connector. I understand the other part though.

You will have a power supply in the pc for your different drives, fans etc - usually comes with several connectors that you can use. The wires are usually red, yellow, black and have a white plug that would be connected to the drives.
Somtimes there are extras so you can unconnect the current one and use a different one.

I did everything you said above but it didn't fix the problem. I'm still getting the same error message. Any more ideas?
    Thanks

My next suggestion is to try this drive in another pc & see if it does the same thing.
If it does than you know it's the drive.
You ruled out software, media, connections so this one may be going south.
