Hi everyone, I have a new dvd burner. It's a Mad Dog multimedia DVD+RW burner. I use the latest version of nero (6.6) and have DVD+R dvds. Here's my dillema. I've been trying to make my own dvd using nero. I am trying to put a bunch of my own digital videos on it. When i go to burn it, it will transcode a bunch of stuff just fine but then when it tries to burn, it gives me an error message and won't burn. Here's an excerpt from my log where the error is listed: ######################################################################################## [00:01:49] DVDEngine ERROR [00:01:49] DVDEngine cause: 129 (neroapi_call_failed) [00:01:49] DVDEngine source: NeroBAOCloseFile() returned error condition [00:01:49] DVDEngine description: _BAOContext::CloseFile() [00:01:49] DVDEngine ######################################################################################## [00:01:49] DVDEngine **BEGIN: IDVDSessionBaseImpl - Clear [00:01:49] DVDEngine **END: IDVDSessionBaseImpl - Clear [00:01:49] DVDEngine END: IDVDVideoSessionImpl - CreateDisc [00:01:53] NeroAPI Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s) [00:01:54] DVDEngine BEGIN: IDVDSessionBaseImpl - EndDiscAccess [00:01:54] DVDEngine ..Flags=0 [00:01:54] DVDEngine **BEGIN: _MediaAccess::Release () [00:01:54] DVDEngine ****BEGIN: _MediaAccess::~_MediaAccess () [00:01:54] DVDEngine ****END: _MediaAccess::~_MediaAccess () [00:01:54] DVDEngine **END: _MediaAccess::Release () [00:01:54] DVDEngine END: IDVDSessionBaseImpl - EndDiscAccess [00:01:54] DVDEngine BEGIN: IDVDSessionBaseImpl - RegisterCallback [00:01:54] DVDEngine ..Session callback unregistered... Sounds like a media or compatibility issue. What is your media? Are you using Burning Rom or NVE 3 to do your files? Are you using a trial version, OEM, or did you pay for the full version?
You may also be burning too fast at 16x: [00:01:53] NeroAPI Burn process failed at 16x (22,160 KB/s) Maybe you should try to burn at a lower speed (2-4x) to HD first. If things are O.K., then burn from HD to disc. Try use RWs for tests. Good luck!
Good call! I didn't even see that! Brain drain, it was time to go to bed,LOL. Bet that's it! scf_au is correct. I NEVER burn over 4x for movies and only 1x for games. Faster burn speeds increase chance of errors.
