hmmm.. the guys have suggested a fair bit and you've tried a fair bit. 'fraid i'd suspect the video card at this point. I used to have awful problems in different PC's over the years with graphics cards which is one reason why i only use onboard video nowadays. But any road up i would run 'dxdiag' - the DirectX checking program and see if anything flags up there, reinstall the video drivers and try previewing in Shrink again.. or try the obvious - ie look for updated video drivers, maybe even reset the graphics card and preview in Shrink again....
