I've tried several. Force ASPI 1.8, ASPI471a2, and others. Anyway got an email from tech support for dvd cloner ll this morning. They have an updated version they want me to try, which I'm doing now. If it works I'll post it.

ATTENTION!!!!! The update to DVD Cloner ll is out. This version addresses the problem of the program not being able to completely read through all the source files. Also dspenty.dll error message. IT WORKS! Here is the link http://www.dvd--copy.net/dvdcloner2.28.exe. Try it!

That link takes me to the download page of 2.20 which I already have. Is that right?

Yall need to just quit fooling around with those guys and request a refund. You should not have to do all of the aspi stuff. You shouldn`t have to do anything. If it doesn`t work like they claim, request a refund and tell them to take a hike. There are too many other programs that work without having to spend a lot of time trying to figure out why theirs doesn`t.

If I can't find a solution for it in about 2 more days, I'm done!

Here is the exact excerpt of their email:

Thank you for your feedback. How about try our newly updated version 2.28? Please uninstall the old version, then download at: http://www.dvd--copy.net/dvdcloner2.28.exe and have a try on your PC. Then please tell me the result. Thank you. (Please make sure that the install file is 4,889KB. )

And guys, don't do like I just did, make sure your blanks are DVD+R, I bought some DVD-R and they wouldn't burn. Just a suggestion. Also maybe it's just my particular burner.

    wdeacon,

The aspi update isn't that hard, or time consuming for that matter. They are simple fixes. Not everybody has the same hardware. People have problems with the freeware sometimes. And look at sparker... spent time trying to figure it out, got it to work... now is probably burning like crazy!!!

    Loner,

I've only used -R once.. came as a sample. Do you only use -R's? How your luck with compatiblity. I started out with just a +R, and now having a dual format haven't really tried it much. I've had real good luck with +R, just as long as the media was good. But I figure that would go for -R's as well.

    -R?

Man, there great and usually as long as it is *pretty* good media u always get good backups, they play in all 4 of my Standalones.. all different makes from different companys

    i have a liteon LDW-451S Dual Burner -- burns CDs, DVDs -R/+R

and i find both for quality and compatibility -R's to be best

    what burner u have?
