Arniebear.... you so funnnnnnnnnnyyyyyy! it's still cheap to buy the R320 even the R200!!!! and it's seems to be getting cheaper as time goes by...... but I just noticed that some areas, it's harder to find these printers.
You can still pick up the R200 in the south for around $50 bucks most of the time. I've got the R320 too and love it.
I get over 150 disks printed before a cartridge change and I buy a set of 7 (colors + black) cost less than 16.00 at supermediastore.com!
Frisbees? Nah you buy the good stuff. You can always send them to me - I still use & buy the silver thermal for other projects!! The silver inkjet ones - scanner does them no justice - they look pretty cool
I just started I think in November of last year with the epson R320 and I'll never go back! LOL ohhhhhh I just checked out my old Memorex DVDs that I recorded in 2003! still going strong, and they are RICOHJPN disks! I am finally putting all my collection in my cases and logging them on DVDProfiler where they are and in what case! I have 3 cases of 600 each to fill! so far! sooooooo I've been checking my old original Memorex DVDs..... I guess I'm lucky with mine.... cause they are RICOHJPNs! which aren't CMC MAG crapolaaaahhhhh!
@kzm007 Thanks, come by the station and I'll give you a ride sometime. @Arnie & IHOE According to Saugmon (I think it was the green guy), you can take your empty cartridges to Staples for a $3 per recycling fee and get refills from abacus for $16. That means you get $2 back everytime you need a refill....
My project is redoing my old 321 disks and getting rid of the nag screen in them. Been using VobBlanker to get rid of the nag and then just processing, do not want any re-encoding. Got to go out and buy some more cases though. Sigh, it always seems I am running out of space
ahhhhhhhhh I might be in my elder years but I am still young in my mind!!!! and I can live up to that with the younger guys, too! I'm no slouch!!!! I'm on in the morn and in the evening!!! can't get rid of me!!!!!! LOL . boy did we go off topic!
Only joking guys, I'm on my way to hit the sack myself...see y'all in the morning. EDIT: You are right IHOE, I'm afraid I can't be seen with hijackers any longer...goodbye.
I mentioned that I had burned 4 discs on my old burner that didn't work. Would it be advised to erase them and burn them using my Lite-On (which I LOVE BTW!). Thanks, Kegan Also, I have a piece of something stuck to the clear plastic in the middle of a DVD, just outside the ring. Should this affect playability? Cheers, Kegan
Well since they're the memorex ones I'd say no. But videohelp.com has the 2x ones being made by CMC (yuck) MCC (great) Ritek (good) and TDK (iffy). So try and id the manufactuer in the LiteOn - if MCC or Ritek - then do a full erase and try it out. The other 2 well.... Whatever is stuck on the inner hub may or may not affect playback. Depends on how big and heavy (may get off balance). What is it?
