I've been able to rip DVDs to 700mb xvid files with lots of films except one - on this one the audio is out of sync. Any settings I should change in this case - in either program? Need any more details?

Also, why am I ripping to xvid and not divx (found this in a guide, so I do it). Lastly, I notice, this film has 2 pcgs of the same length...should I try the second?

Sorry, but one more thing. The out of sync issue is huge not slight...You hear a sentence and then the mouth mouths it.

    Hey mate!
I don't know to much about encoding from a DVD to Xvid, but when you've got the Xvid file you could try using this tool:
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/synchronizer.html

Haven't got a movie yet that was out of sync, so I haven't tried it, but the tool seems "straight ahead", think it's easy to figure out.

    Hope it helps!

Just curious. I've never had a problem making my .avi files with Decrypter and GK so would you mind sharing what movie gave you issues??

Hey man, I would advise you not to post your email in the forum. You may end up being visited by the SpamFairy in your email.

*edit* PlUS the moderators may get you...it is against forum rules. ;0)

Anyone have an opinion on 1#DVD Ripper?

Should I give that a whirl to see if I don't have the same sync problem?
