Hi Nephilim, Thanks for that link.. at least now I know what the timeout means. just a thought..since I only have the external burner and no internal dvd rom drive, do ya think the time out could be caused by the fact that I can't immediately go to copy..since I must take out source disc and install blank..maybe that 5 sec interval causes a lost communication? what ya think bout that? sometimes i hate the way I over think things.hmmmmm Sher
