    Welcome to aD!
Sounds like your disc is dirty/scratched. Try cleaning it off. Another option is to try ripping in iso mode w/ decrypter.
Here's a guide for the hard to rip ones:

thanks, I'm trying to follow this guide. http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/guides.html

what happens if I change the mode to iso? will videora still be able to convert it? I'll tell you if cleaning it off and checking ignore read errors works soon

Doesn't look like ISO mode would work w/ videora. See if cleaning the discs and the settings in decrypter works.

I tried it w/ the cleaned disk and settings changed to ignore read error. Still doesn't work. I used DVDFab express and it finished but it looks like it divided the movie into 6 seperate files. Is using DVDFab alright to then use with Videroa? I'm having videroa unzip the videos now

i changed the file split to auto, but it still gets stuck in the same spot. Using another DVD decrypter program, I was able to successfully rip the DVD. However, it divided the DVD into 6 different parts. Is it possible, after these parts have been converted by Videora, to combine them together into one file so it can be played continuously?

Well sens when it comes to converting to IPod - there I can be of no help - ripping and burning movies yes. So I'll request to have this moved to the IPod forum where you can get help with this.
You should also change the thread title to include IPod.
There's also some great guides for what you trying to do in this section also. Here's a link to the guides:

    Good Luck!

Ok, so I tried using the DVDFab decrypter, which ripped the DVD into 8 chunks. Then I converted them, but only sections 6,7, and 8 appear in the area I set for the converted files to go to. I'm completely lost

Hi Sens, welcome to the iPod forums.

To rip a DVD, you must rip it in [bold]IFO Mode[/bold]. You have to disable file spliting by going `Tools` then `Settings` go to the IFO tab, then under `Options`, change `File Splitting` to `None` and press `OK`.

Now go back to the main menu and select the `Stream Processing` tab. Check the box next to it so it is enabled, and only select the first video listed, as well as the audio-

Once you have chosen a location for your ripped DVD to go, you need to go `File` & then `Decrypt`.

Once you have completed this process, you should be left with one .vob file redy for transcoding..
