When I'm ripping a movie using dvd decrypter do I need to rip everything. Can I just rip the movie and the other needed files, then move on to dvd2one??

Depends on what you want to keep.....

If you want the complete disc - then rip everything..

If you only want the movie - just rip the IFO file and relative vobs....

All this can be done in FILE mode....

DVD Decrypter should be setup (default) to select movie only in FILE mode....this will then ONLY highlight the IFO and relative VOBS (in blue) ready to rip...

If you want to keep everything, then press CTRL and A (together) when you are in FILE mode (and the main screen is up), this will highlight ALL files - ready to rip...

Once done just process with Dvd2one either in movie only or Full disc mode.....

Easier than ripping, use AnyDVD which allows you to rip off the DVD straight into your program like CloneDVD or Nero if ripping a DVD5 disc.

What is the best setting under CSS in DVD Decrypter to insure 100% region free 100% of the time?

You go to Tools > IFO > Region Patch and select the region code you want or Region free.

Should have asked about Brute Force settings under CSS in DVD Decrypter. That's what I need surefire settings for.

    thanks-

Under [bold]CSS Cracking Method[/bold], tick I/O Key Exchange -> Brute Force

Under [bold]Options[/bold], tick Force Decryption Key. This is usefull as when you get your Key, you can enter it into the text boxes and then Decrypter doesn't have to work as hard next time.

    Under [bold]CSS Decetion Search[/bold], select 1K sectors.

    Under [bold]DeCSSPlus Key Occurrences[/bold], select 1

    Under [bold]DeCSS Pattern Repeat Length[/bold], select 15.

These settings are the best DVD decrypting settings I have used. Enjoy :D
