DVD Decrypter unstable

    wow I just learned another good point........ buring at certain speeds...... I thought that having a new computer and a 16x burner allows you to burn at that speed and still have high quality disks. I've been using Taiyo Yuden disks and burning at 16x (even though the disks say 8x)!!! I used CopytoDVD and it shows burn at 16x, also Shrink shows burn at 16x, too! EVen when I use Decrypter it shows 16x! I never had a prob with any of my burns since I bought this computer (philips 8631 burner). I will now lower the speed when writing..... I just thought it was cool when it burned a disk in 5 mins and came out with high quality. Maybe if I burned it slower I might get even better quailty burns!!!!! Thanks guys!

    i have to agree with flip even though i'm happy enough burning at 1.5x i would prefer 4x or even 2.4x

    @stephen13, have just been thru the entire thread again, and i still can't see references to your burner, it's firmware or media used. Hopefully the utterly appalling 1.5x write speed is to do with at least one of those. let us know....
