hmm, i'm not sure if it's the scratches or the protection on this dvd (are we there yet) that's not letting me rip it... it usually stops on the third vob, VTS_03_1.VOB - i'm using latest version of dvd decrypter (yes, with the right settings - ElbyCDIO) and anydvd.
@chance_ I'm pretty sure Are We There Yet was one of those funky sony ones but AnyDVD with the correct settings in decrypter should handle it. Decrypter is usually pretty good with scratched discs. What error are you getting? Alot of read errors? Try this guide for hard to rip dvd's. http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide9.html You can also try dvd fab decrypter. If all fails exchange for a new one.
Hey, Anybody know how to download a copy of ANYDVD that isn't a trial version with the counter coming up everytime I boot my machine?? I suppose I could rummage through Kazaa but there must be something else, huh? Thanks.
yeah kp1 dont be cheap buy it and we dont talk cracks in here if you plan on staying around long and i think its 10 bucks off making it 39 bucks
Hello, just signed up with Afterdawn. Want to thank everyone for turning me on to AnyDVD and VOBBlanker. Ran into problems with Madagascar. After trying a few things, running into brick walls, and running out of beer, I started searching and ran into you guys. AnyDVD,DVD decrypter, and VOBBlanker did the trick. Been ripping for about 18 months and generally use DVD Shrink and/or DVD Decrypter and about 99% of all movies come out flawless. Seems more and more movies are getting to be buggers. Again thanks and maybe I can contribute in the future....
Hi Guys I'm new here, but have been reading your posts for a while. i had a question cause I'm not to savy on problem solving. I've tried burning a few flicks & keep having the same problem. The DVD just wont play in my DVD player, but plays fine on my computer. i've tried other burnt DVD's that a freind of mine burnt using the same software & they work fine. Any suggestions?
@tuttyface Welcoem to aD! Your problem sounds like the media you are using and maybe a high burn speed. Which brand of dvd's are you using? Are they - or + format? What's your burn speed?
if your using dvd+r booktype them to dvd-rom ,that will make them more compatible with your standalone player or try dvd-r instead ,burn at a slow speed like 4x using good blank media as in Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim ,that should do it man
thanks guys I'm gonna try using DVD-R today at the slower burnspeed. I'll let you know how this goes. Right now I was using Benq DVD+R & I think Nero was burning at 8X or more so I'll slow it down.
tuttyface, if your using nero to burn you can booktype the dvd+r very easily ,just click options ,click the drop down box and change it to DVD-ROM ,and burn at 4x
Well Benq are not known as quality media so I would switch to Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. +r format can be booktyped to make the disc appear as a dvd-rom which is almost univerisally compatible. Your drive just needs to support booktyping. What the make & model of your drive?
Guys thanks for all your help (aabbccdd & binkie7). i changed the booktype burn was good & works in my old standalone peice of crap Pioneer player. Thanks again for the help guys
Hey not a prob! Glad you got it working. Your pioneer probably only likes the - format so it won't recongnize the +r unless they're booktyped to dvd-rom.
ok im not going to lie im just far too blonde for this crap...I got dvd shrink 3.2, ive got dvd fab decrypter, ive got any dvd, and ive got clone dvd2 and yet i can't copy the brothers grimm...i just don't understand...this is all too confusing for me...
