dvd drive won't play

hi. i have a sony dru-710a all of the sudden it doesn't recognize that there is a disc inside. (any king: cd, dvd or audio) it said insert disc in drive. i upgraded the firmware, unistall it from device manager and nothing. i try contaction sony buy they never answer my email. im going crazy cause this drive is new. if anyone can help me out please help.

unplug - take out of tower, format - reinstall everything - plug in drive

should work

if it dont - you got faulty drive

you know your microsoft windows CD?

well, if you boot from it u have the chance to reinstall windows, you can format aswell - then install
