dvd drive wont work please help

i tried hooking up my lg 8164b dvd drive to my computer and the light comes on and it seems to be working but when it gets to the windows xp screen the loading bars just keep going and windows dosent boot up i also have a lite on dvd burner installed to please help thanks

 

Depending on the set up, you may have the master and slave mixed up. Use this link and read what Fasfrank and TY4ever have to say.
