I use an LG external dvd writer for my personal computer. I am getting an Ibook (G4). Will the dvd writer run using the same software or do i have to download one that will run on the MAC OS? The dvd writer installs in any windows version: XP, ME, 98. Will it run in MAC OS which uses windows also?
mac and windows are of course two different platforms.. so you will need to get something like toast for burning. if you check the guide in this forum.. and that will show you what you need to do.. what is the model number on that LG? it needs to be compatible with mac os..
price grabber states that it is compatible... this burner has usb and firewire.. so i dont see why it wouldnt. you may need to download drivers for it.. but i know you will need to get toast.. the apple software on the machines is not always kind to external burners. i know they have added support now to externals. but you can never be too careful... toast is a great app anyways. here it is on the LG website http://us.lge.com/Product/proddetai..._level=4&totalItem=8¤tPage=1&perPage=10
Was able to use the dvd external writer without even installing the software! Now i need a DVD AUDIO ripper. Would anyone know? I used XILLSOFT DVD AUDIO ripper before.
