im trying to back up a movie with dvd shrink but the file is still 18mb too large to fit on a dvd and there is nothing i can eliminate to make it fit. is there a way to compress the disk more than the alloted %53. Or if anyone has any tips or suggestions please let me know.

You can do a second pass through shrink. The first time through, just select your hard drive as the back without autoburning from any shrink friendly apps. When it's done, open those files up in shrink again and run it through again. This time you can burn.

Honestly your quality will probably suffer a bit with that much compression. Just be sure to use deep analysis and quality adaptive error compensation (I use max smoothness)
