Can someone tell me which is the simplest way to make a DVD from digital video on a mini DV camcorder which will play on an ordinary table top DVD player ? I have read dozens of posts and none answer this question directly. I have a digital video camera and firewire setup , I have Tmpeg encoder Plus 2.5 ,Win 98 SE, 1000 mhz intel processor, 320 mb SD ram, and a 40 gig 7200 rpm hard drive, and of course a DVD writer.

Which software should I get for creating DVD's ?
I have been making high res MPEG1 for 3 years , these are ok for computer cd, but will not play on table top stand alone DVD players.

First you have to convert video files to MPEG2.
I gues that TMPGenc+ can do this.
Then you need DVD compiler software. You can find those from Afterdawns software section (example: DVD-lab v1.3.1).
I have no idea which of them work in W98, cos I'm using W2K and XP.
