I am impressed with the way BHETrick sorts the collection. Didn't realize my "dumb" question would spark such a discussion---everyone's comments were very interesting. Should I ask another dumb question on this thread or start a new one: How do others sort their DVD collections? I'm just piling them into stacks like pancakes right now and need to figure out a system. Any suggestions?
Well, like I said, I use a database program call Movie Collectorz and Game collectorz for my games. There are some other good programs out there, too. Collectorz will automatically pull the information off the internet, including jackets. I use to try and store them alphabetacally(sp?)on the shelve and use a simple works database. It became a hassle moving them around on the shelves so now I just assign each a number and store in that order. Oh ya... there's no such thing as a dumb question... just dumb flamers.. so ask away.
