I just purchased a BUS Link 16X DVD drive in hopes that it would read the DVD-RW'w that i have. The DVD-RW's are PRINCO and work fine in my pioneer A03 drive and in my stand alone DVD Players. They will not read in the BUSLink however. I have also had problems with DVD-R's from CDrecordable.com. It does read all of the major brand disks I have, ie.. Pioneer and Apple. Is there a Brand or model internal DVD drive that plays most of the DVD-R and RW out there ? The buslink says specifically that it will blay DVD-r and RW nut I am running into this problem..
What you are experienceing could be a driver problem, it could also be a hardware problem. Meaning it could be a rogue driver on your system, the princo disc or the drive. With RW discs check that the disc does NOT have "version 1.0" printed on them. These discs are known to be somewhat compatabillity impaired.
