Hi there, First post i have been searching everywhere for an answer for this problem i am having and remembered this site from a while back. I have a custom built computer by a friend with the below spec: Abit KU8 Motherboard AMD Sempron 2800+ 80GB Seagate HDD LG 16X DVD-ROM 1GB DDR PC3200 400MHz CL3 PNY NVIDIA 6600GT I can instal any play games from DVDs and read DVDs with files etc but i cannot and never have been able to play DVD films and i have problems playing ANY video. I have tried every CODEC pack and player under the sun, and i really want to watch some DVD and get into recording etc. Anyone have any suggestions?
have you installed the dvd player that came with your burner ? or try this http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm it contains media player clasic which plays dvds
