    Well, the firmware for my burner came already packed with BinFlashGUI:
    I flashed again with the RPC1 version,now packed with Binflash 1.25. I will see how that works.

    Since the booktype was set by the flashing utility, I went and told nero to use the current burner setting, instead of automatic and to try and booktype. Did a burn, nothing changed, the same "Key Illigal Request" error in the log. And Nero did not try to booktype tjhis time. I gues it is what it is:~)! I give up on it. The burns are successful, playback with no problem...Still wonder what a heck, but so be it! If I play with it more, I either fix it, or become like the guy in my sig.!

    back to my problem anyway tried dvd+r and dvd-r and didnt work .now how in the world could i booktype to dvd rom ???? i dont think my burner could do it. is there a way to do it with nero some were

    You aren't able to booktype with that drive, but you've got high compatability mode turned on so when the disc is spit out it should be read as a DVD-ROM. Look at it in CD-DVD speed under the disc info tab...it will tell you what the bood type is.

    Looks like a successful burn, I don't see anything wrong...the disc just won't play in your player?

    heres the deal i converted same type of file and put it on a dvd-r and +r it wondnt work on my dads player at all. now i convert the same type file on to a dvd+r (log)and it worked fine ... i cant figure it out ??????//

    So everything is working good right...what's there to understand? Your dad's player wasn't compatable with the format that you originally gave him, now it is.

    now toyotaman has left AD (again, sigh), there's no need for this thread. i'm starting to wonder if toyotaman aka ozzmary is indeed the father to a lad who apparently keeps using his dad's login to get on AD, or if toyotaman is indeed the lad.... tune in next time folks as we'll no doubt have the pleasure of toyotaman's company again, but there's been so many complaints it'll be instant banning...
