Hey i use a program called winavi to convert my avi files to dvd, when i burn them to a DVD and play it on my dvd player it is of a very poor quality. I use nero burning rom to burn my vob files to dvd. By the way the avi file size is 1,400 MB. I have tried to use nero vision express but a error always comes up. Plz if anyone has the answer to my problem plz reply back Bye
I am guessing your AVI files were a download possibly. It could be a poor quality download. Also I think you loose some quality in the conversion process. So if the original file isn't that great the conversion will of course be degraded. Jerry
the original files were very good quality, do u think its got to do with the media i have, i use a packard bell 4.7GB 1-4X DVD-R
First of all are you using the latest version of WinAVI? Make sure you select the Quality mode over the speed mode. If you can play the avi uising media player and if the quality looks excellent then it should come out ok.
you know u said about the quality over speed, is dat a option on winavi or nero brunin rom. if its on winavi i need to update my software if its on nero can u tell me where i can select it?
It's in the WinAVI ver 6.3 Start WinAVI Select DVD Advanced Option Select Constant video size Number of discs 1 Disk Capacity 4300 MB Set chapter length (I use 150) Target format Pal or NTSC (I use Pal) Aspect ratio to Auto Preference By Quality Audio 192000 Tick on Enabled direct AC3 ok ok again (and the conversion should start) With Nero I use ver 6.6.06 Have fun
