    Hi,
I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am having problems with my DVD/CD rom player on my sony vaio vgn-s150 laptop. It plays some movies, but not others. For example, when I put a movie in it today, it did not even recognize that there was a movie in the drive. (When I went into the windows media player, it told me that there was no disk in the drive, even though there was.)

Specifically, this DVD player is a Matshita UJDA755 DVD/CDRW.

I called sony for troubleshooting advice and was told that this is a problem with the DVD itself, not the DVD player. I don't believe that. This has happened too many times, with multiple DVDs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    TK
