I have installed a new DVD duel layer burner below my DC Rom drive. It's an Asus 1608P model and the problem i have is as follows. When i go to "Share" in UV8 evertything is fine until i go to "Burn" and then a messege appears asking me to put a disc in the drive (where i already have a DVD blank disc awaiting) Secondly for some strange reason the icon in "My Computer" for thr "F" Drive Asus appears as a USB Icon? I can burn to a CD R/W or R disc using this burner but not a DVD? Any help or assistance would be most welocme. I have downloaded everything i can from the Asus website, and for additional info i am using Windows XP Home.
Hi don't know if this will help but as far as I know duel layer DVD's only write on + disc's.The new one I have copies then writes using the same drive.eg copies original then opens for you to put blank disc
